after googling somewhat it seems a lot of people have the same issue as I have about Google Chrome not having a drop down in the address bar like IE or FF. This for me is a mega showstopper.

Perhaps if enough people want this we can get google to add this in the next release.

Whilst I'm not particularly keen on tabbed browsing -- others are so that's a non issue - I think the omission of the drop down facility in the address bar is a MEGA OMISSION.

This feature unfortunately renders what at first sight seems like an EXCELLENT browser more or less unuseable for me - and I only use it now when IE8 crashes which it doesn't do nearly as much after applying the latest W7 updates.

Perhaps if a few people acknowlege their agreement in this thread google might take note -- I can't believe they actually omitted this feature - what on Earth were the developers doing or who were the users they tested this stuff on.

I don't need a formal poll just an indication if people miss the feature or am I fairly unique in wanting this,

This is what I mean for example (screen shot enc of address pull down in IE8).

Hyvää iltaa, Jimbo ;)

I kind of like how it's done in Chrome, though it takes more clicks. I have the home page set to New tab page. Clicking View full history takes me to a comprehensive list of the pages I've visited.

It doesn't bother me either...all the sites I regularly visit are in my bookmarks bar. To get the rest, it only takes a couple letters in the address bar to pull up the site I want.
