I see 2 restore points. That should amount to less than 2GB. Check with this command:

vssadmin list shadowstorage

In WinDirStat you can click on the [+] icon next to the folder name.
That will "expand" the folder so you can see what is in it.

This way you could drill down to the Windows/Logs/CBS folder and see what files are in there.

The best optimizer program is you right index finger. Don't rely on those wonder programs. They often do more damage than good.

I'm glad you found what those programs were and removed them.

I keep WinDirStat on a usb stick. As far as I know it always works and is a trusted program by many.

I have a simple approach with those huge files a la cbs.log - since they are too big to digest and most of it I do not understand anyhow, I might as well delete the file. No need to keep dead meat around.

I delete logs stored in all my security programs after scans every now and again.

I still don't know how one can get 200 plus GB of logs. Then again I always kept things clean so I wouldn't know.

ThAT'S why me too wondered..going to look the links you shared to know how to clean unwanted things..so that it won't pile up...what is Event viewer? can you share some tips pls to keep system clean ? which i can do at least in a month.

System mechanic is definitely one to avoid, I like others don't believe in one stop fix all programs they are generally junk and can have severe side effects

If you wish to look at event viewer simply type event into your start menu and it will appear, there are several lists/sections/sub menus that you can scroll through to look at different kinds of logs/errors
Its worth mentioning though that it is normal to see many many entries listed as errors and warnings on a perfectly healthy machine so don't be too concerned
