Not sure if RAM died or MoBo problem

Okay so I just got home from school. Quickly, I turned on my PC and I heard beeps coming from my system unit. After searching online, It suggested me to take out my RAM one by one. I have 16GB of RAM(Corsair Vengeance 4x4) after troubleshooting I took off 2 of them on the left side of my CPU and my PC booted up normally. When I turned off my PC and inserted one of the 2 sticks I took off, it booted up normally but the problem is, my PC said it only has 8 GB of RAM whilst I already inserted 3 of them (that makes 12 GB) I thought it died so I took it off again and inserted the other piece. Unfortunately, my PC keeps telling me I only have 8 GB of RAM. So now I'm not sure if it's a RAM problem (2 sticks died? Really?) or the MoBo's RAM socket. Enlighten me please, thanks!

FYI: this is my board's picture for reference

Can you enter the BIOS with all RAM inserted? If YES, how much RAM does the BIOS report.

Thats something different altogether, and not what you described in post #1.

Check every cable and connection again - its possible something became disconnected when you removed and reseated the RAM.

I've check every cable if there's something loose, but as far as I can see nothing seems to be detached. It's just whenever I insert the RAM (the one I took off), my PC won't boot. Hence, I can't check my BIOS with all 4 RAMs seated. However, my PC boots up when only 3 out of 4 RAMs are inserted. It's kinda confusing, but hopefully you get my problem.

Ok. I understand now.

Is it always the same 3 RAM chips that work, or any combination of the three?

Actually, only 2 of them are working. The first RAM my PC boots up normally, but my PC won't detect it (inserted all 3 but PC says I only have 8 GB of RAM) The second RAM (when all 4 are seated) my PC won't even boot up. So it really raises the question if my MoBo is the problem or 2 out of the 4 RAMs are dying.

Work out which RAM is faulty by inserting a SINGLE RAM chip into motherboard slot 1 only. Then boot to MemTest86+ and running 8 passes.

If it passes, repeat with SAME RAM in motherboard slot 2. Repeat for all slots.

If it passes, then the motherboard is OK.

OK, so I tested every RAM on every slots and my PC is booting up normally. My PC now detects all 4 RAM sticks and is functioning properly, but I still don't understand why my PC beeped in the first place. Is it normal or is there something worse that might happen? (CPU failing?)
