I know that "nView" is not installed on Vista or Windows 7.
But, It is in the driver bundle pack, known as nview.cab..
I run 2 Graphics cards (both GeForce 9400 GT, one PCIe and one PCI), and 4 monitors, 2 ea Hanns-G HW191D's (19" Wide), 1 Hanns-G JC199D (19" Sq) and 1 AOC LM720 (17" Sq).
I use them on my Windows XP x64 OS, and design and develope projects a lot. My desire is to not allow windows to span across monitors. I use my each monitor for very specific uses.
One to monitor all operations in my system, one for monitoring my network and all activities by any of my other computers as well ( I have 7 that run quite often), and the other 2 for my design work and testing as well as any of my e-books or web sites on the research for my design work.
With Windows XP x86 and x64 the nView Desktop Manager is always available so I can set it for any specific application or function that I need.
But on Windows Vista (which I quit using, what a waste of money
) and Windows 7 (which I am testing
) do not have the ability to set any of my programs the way I need them to react. They can span monitors any time, especially when I try to run computer simulated actions or activities for diagnosing my designs.
Hope this didn't bore you to sleep.
My Question,
Is there a way to install the "nView Desktop Manager" on Windows 7?
I know that Win7 is the same core kernel as Vista. Does any one have any knowledge about the compatability of the nVidia drivers and software in the "Driver Bundle" packs for this windows core?
I have tried over and over again to get info from the nVidia Sites (including the basic forums and the Developer forums) but get no answers.
