Greetings Everyone.
I have a HP Compaq 8510w with the NVIDIA Quadro-FX 570M, which is notorious (alongside some other NVIDA/ATI GPUs and in X360/PS3) for a factory fault which can cause premature failure, known as Bump-Gate.
My GPU is at OK condition, although not so long ago it failed to POST and i got it re-flown and now it works fine again. The Temps are very good even in load (50-70 degrees Celsius).
My question is: Is this safe for light games in 1-2 hour sessions?
Specific Games I want to play:
-Battlefield 2 (2006)
-Serious Sam: The Second Encounter (2002)
-UT2004 (2004)
-Stronghold Crusader HD (2012)
I have tested these games already to test stability and the play fine, and GPU temps remain good, but I don't dare play as much as i want. I really can't find a replacement (Most are dead/on the verge of dying already). The only other GPU that is compatible is the ATI HD 2600, which is really hard to find from trusted sources, let alone within the EU, and worse, it has to have HP Firmware to even work...
