I have tried to post befor but being a newby, I probably made a mess of it.

I have two email addresses showing in my outlook left hand panel, one for a commercial web site I run and one for my personal email. I have configured Outlook to send all incoming mail whether commercial or private to one "Inbox" mine.

Because the commercial "Inbox" is no longer used, will it be safe to remove it's details from the panel to simplify matters please?

If anyone has the answer, please let me know?

Hi,

To be 100% sure its setup correctly, when you view your two email accounts, do they deliver and store the email in the same PST file?

I want to make sure you haven't setup up a mail forward from the commercial PST to the personal PST.

Thanks for your response. At the moment, there is no mail at all going into the commercial commercial "Inbox" it's all coming into my personal one.

Hi,

OK. We just need to make sure that both email accounts deliver to the same address - if it does, then the answer to your original question is YES : you can simply remove it.

Does your account section look similar to this? See that both accounts point to the same PST file? If it does, then you are good to go.

I don't get get any C:/email.pst after the address, just the the email address of the sender and a subject line.

I logged into the commercial web site and sent myself an email from it and it turned up in my personal email box so I guess it must be working OK?

While I am here, can you tell me where I can find my profile as I have not completed it yet and would like to do so.

Hi,

Yep it sounds like its OK.

For your profile look up at the top of the this page is a link called User CP. If you click that, you can fill in everything you want to. Its a good idea to fill in your systems specs (your computer specifications) as much as you can since it helps us to help people easier.

If you need help working out or collecting your system specs, let me know and I'll give you a hand.

Thanks once again.

When I placed the order for the machine a couple of weeks ago, they sent me a Spec Sheet but the type pitch is so small I am having difficulty reading it. I am not really sure where I should show it anyway. I have been struggling with Windows7 trying to get my email to work properly, get my FTP details from my provideretc, etc. My latest is trying to find out why although I have added Windows 7 Forums to my 'Favourites' list when I click on it I am told "The "" targer of this internet shortcut is not valid. Go to the Internet Shortcut properties sheet and make sure the target is correct. Where the blazes is the Internet Shortcut Properties Sheet when it is at home? Time for a large whisky and ginger I think!!

I'll get some help for you on the Favorites thing - are you using IE8?

To get the details of your system, download and run this programs. It gives you all the technical details that you can then type in the system specs area.

Thanks for all that info, am workingk on it and will get it completed asap. At the moment I am still trying to get serials for some software which I have installed on my new machine. It's like trying to get blood out of a stone as far as some companies are concerned.
