OK, whats the deal with VLC in Windows 7?!

I can't see much of an improvement with the update. I guess I will have to switch to WMP to playback regular, compressed videos instead of VLC.

Good news.. with the latest VLC update my HD MKV are perfect now.. but for Standard DivX (Ex: DVDrip) the quality is better but not as much as WMV. I'm curious to know what is the Output Rendering of WMV ?

Same situation here - 720p playback is great but xvid looks washed out compared to WMP.
