I have an ati radeon 1 gb graphic card, since my monitor only supports 1368 * 768 resolution it was enough to play most of the games in highest graphic settings. Crysis 2 in extreme settings gives me around 45-50 fps. Recently i updated the dx11 patch and only with the ultra settings it gives +-35 and when dx11 is enabled it runs at only 20-25 fps max. Will overclocking make the fps increase?
Default core clock - 775 mhz and memory clock is 1000mhz.
you can up the 775 core clock to 800 mhz and the 1000mhz memory clock to 1100 but you will get just a small gain besides if you never oc'ed a vid card before just better off leaving it alone if it plays your games fine no use in trying to fry your card for little gain .
That's just my 2 cents but others may differ
also you can use the AMD auto tune to OC it to be on the safe side

I use catalyst control to overclock but i want to know if it can handle tessalation, coz my pc has no additional cooling so i dont want to fry it...
well it should be able too but if you worried about cooling clean your caseout really good CAN AIR .
I also would go ahead and throw another fan to be safe ,but that card should be able to handle it that was my first card when i built a new rig couple years back
Im sure it wont generate too much heat compared to one's that use one or dual 6 pin connectors
If i remember correctly the hd5670 uses a standard power cable so you should be fine
Ok then i'll give it a try but i dont think this card can handle dx11 of crysis 2, i've been playing battlefield 3 for a couple of days with ultra settings it too runs dx11 but no problem with that. Crysis 2 has more dx11 features than battlefield 3. Crysis 2 is awesome i've been playing the story mode for the third time it still feels and looks good this time.

CCC doesn't touch the cards voltages, so temps from OCing aren't going to be as high as opposed to using an app like MSI afterburner which lets you adjust the voltages.
For longevities sake, keep it under 85c @ load and you'll be fine.

Yes, but my resolution is just 1368*768 and i dont enable motion blur and anti aliasing, it may work then? may be... my system runs crysis 2 at everything ultra settings and gives 35 fps enough for me. Only problem is tesselation and other dx11 features makes it pretty tough and gives just 20-25 fps.
As with most games you have to adjust the detail settings to suit the game and your system.
Despite the low resolution (which is close to CPU limited area) the 5670 is not an overly powerful card.
DX11 features hammer performance. So if you are borderline to begin with, enabling DX11 features will be enough to introduce the drops you are talking about.
Each of the effects have their own impact, so yes; disabling motion blur, AA etc will help improve performance.

Like i said before i would only core clock it too 800 mhz and the memory clock 1125-1175 nothing more then that unless you are looking to get a blue screen every time
Also if you are overclocked CPU that is RAM etc that will effect your GPU
and cause it to crash as well you don't need to boost it to the max just enough to see a slight frame increase which in your case won't be much about 2-4 fps if any
I would save and get a more powerfull Gpu if you want true performance without to much Overclocking
