Paint Shop Pro 7.04 stopped working in Windows 7 64 bit

I had been using PSP 7.04 since 2012 when I bought my laptop, and suddenly it stopped working and does not allow me to use it any more.
I tried to buy the software (which was TRY AND BUY) but it has been discontinued and I really need it.

I tried Paint Shop Pro 7.02 but the tubes are shown in black background.

Is there anything that you can suggest?

If there is nothing I can do, would PSP 7.04 work in Windows 10?

Please define not working. Does it not load? Does it load but nothing works? Do you get any error messages?

Perhaps it just ran out of time on the "try and buy" feature and has shut down permanently.

Have you looked into something compatible? Paint.net may work for you if you are saving in a non proprietary format like jpg, or tiff, or PNG.

As a matter of fact I have installed, and they work, Jasc Paint Shop 9 and Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2,

but Paint Shop Pro 7.04 is more simple and friendly to use.

Well, Corel makes version X9 of Paint Shop Pro. They are still in business, just with a new version. Why not buy that one instead of 7.04 (which you can no longer buy)?

If it is a limited "try and buy" software package, it will just stop working on Windows 10 too. Then you will have the same problem that you do now.

You either need to somehow find and buy a full retail version of PSP 7.04, if that is your preferred version, or you will have to migrate to something else and use that. Unfortunately, since Corel no longer makes PSP 7.04, your options are rather limited. You might be able to find a copy of PSP 7.04 on eBay, but I would make sure it is from a reputable seller, and that it is shrink wrapped when you get it.

EDIT: I checked eBay and there were a number of versions of PSP 7 available at a modest cost. Perhaps one of those might fit the bill?
