Paintshop Pro 7.04

Has anyone been able to install PSP 7.04 to Win 7 and still have all of it's features. Is there someway to run it compatible with say Win ME or Win XP?

I can get it to install but it loses a lot of it's features (tools).

The reason I want that version is that it has fewer glitches than any of the later versions and I have used it so much I run it in my sleep.

Thanks for any responses.

I am running a 32 bit system. I actually have two ways to install PSP 7.04:

The original version 7 which I apply the 7.04 update. When I apply the update is when Win 7 seems to balk more and tells me that it was not installed properly.

I also have the PSP 7.04 Anniversary Edition which I have not tried to install. I assume the results will be the same.

I have PSP installed in VirtualBox (Win XP) and that works just like it does on a normal Win XP install.

I did check the Corel Support for Win 7 and PSP 7 is not list as being compatible. I assumed that anyway as old as v 7 is. I did not see anywhere there to put in a bid to have version 7 updated to be compatible with Win 7. I doubt they would but I would like to get my two cents worth in anyway :D.

I will give the Anniversary Edition a try and see what happens.

Thanks

I installed the 32 bit Anniversary Edition of PSP says its version 7.07. I think it works better than 7.04 but Windows says it did not run properly.

So far it does some strange things but I have not found any tools that don't work.

Until something better comes along I guess I will keep it.

Under view you will see tool bars, click on it and put check marks in those you want, then the will show up on the left side of screen.

I am buying, on ebay, Corel Draw Graphics Suite 5. Got it for $80.00 as one of the graphics members likes it. Others use Adobe Photo Shop CS4 or CS5.
You can get CS5 trial for 30 days so you may want to go that route.
My PSPv7 is like an old dog and I hate to let it go.

PSP 7.0 No Screen Capture

I am using Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit and PSP7.00.

I see that some of you are having limited tool availability. I have a none working screen capture, which is a pain as it's mainly what I use PSP for. Obviously, I can work around it but this too is a pain when taking multiple screenshots.

Another little niggle I have is that if I click a graphic to open in PSP, each graphic openes in it's own iteration of PSP instead of all opening in the same one.

Neither of these problems occurred in XP. Does anyone have any ideas that may cure these?

Thank you.
