Hallo guys from the forum,

i have a freezing issue with my pc (details of my pc can be found in my profile information).
It keeps freezing after 20-25 minutes and every time it does i have to press the powerbutton off and on to restart the pc again just to have another 20+ minutes of pc-ing. sometimes when starting the pc, i get the 'BOOT MGR IS MISSING' (probably spelled it wrong).

i solve this short-termed each time by pressing the delete button when the acer screen appears and turn everything to default.

Now knowing this all, i have the question if you guys know any reason why it keeps freezing and if its possible also send any possible solutions.

Thank you very much,

-Arikovebau :)

Welcome to the forum Arikovebau,

MSINFO32:
  • Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
  • Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
  • Also, save a copy as a .txt file and include it also (it's much more difficult to read, but we have greater success in getting the info from it).

Perform a Clean boot:
Reduce items at start-up. No software except anti-virus is required plus doing this improves the time for logging into windows:
Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
  • Click on the :orb:
  • Type CMD on Search
  • Left click and Run as Administrator
  • Type SFC /scannow
Full tutorial here:
Please uninstall Daemon Tools. It uses a driver called sptd.sys which is known to cause BSODs in Windows 7.

Uninstall the software using Add/Remove Programs. Reboot the system. Once the program is uninstalled, run sptd.sys uninstaller to remove the driver from your system.

As an alternative, many people recommend the use of Total Mounter or Magic ISO

Okay Koolkat77 i have done what you instructed me to do and these are my results:

-i deleted Daemon Tools and replaced it with Magic ISO and did the sptd.sys uninstaller thing

-there was nothing wrong in the sfc /scannow or /verifyonly, 100% okay even after 3 times

-The clean boot didn't work since the pc froze after 20-30 min again as usual.

- i removed a couple of startup programs that are not usefull, like skype or utorrent

Conclusion: The pc still keeps freezing around 25 minutes. no big improvements
Do you have any further advise?

btw I very appreciate the help you are giving me
