But there still selling out like any thing. I went on to the scan website looking for an evga 470 useing my phone and they had some in stock and not even 30 minutes later the damn things were gone when I got to a computer to order one. I get a call from a friend saying there were some on the site and again it happens there gone when I get to a pc. Theres 2 things I have now taken from this,

1) Get the scan phone number and call them as soon as theres one on the site lol

2) Some web users and the ati fans might have bashed the card but people are talking with there wallets and snaping them up.

Not sure why...according to reviews I have read there is very little difference between ATI and NV's hi end cards...except the price
ATI have dropped in price recently and I have bought a 5850 OC card for my new PC as a stop gap until NV optimise the 480's or find a way to use the 512 cores they supposedly have but cant cool? atm..hence only 480 in use.

The EVGA ones will sell quickly, but really, nowadays there's no difference between any cards from different manufacturers, unlike the days where each manufacturer could do what they wanted with the card.

Just try look at other ones, like ASUS and EVGA are the two to go for really, and I can say that my ASUS 470 hasn't had a single problem.

Don't forget the heat as well as the power consumption. Along with price, those are the 3 reasons why I consider the ATI card the better choice these days for a gaming PC.

Agreed there are power and heat to consider...performance/price is the issue that is important to me tho hence my not mentioning those.
The only thing that NV have that ATI don't is tessalation support which will make games that use it look that much better and phys X so you can destroy the tessalated bits rofl.

The only difference is when it comes to removing the cooler for watercooling or something. If you do it to an ASUS one, just don't tell them after you've re-assembled the card, like you still need to re-assemble the EVGA one too. Both support overclocking, but only with their own overclocking tools, too.
