In past versions I recollect using a faster than 1 sec sample rate for Performance Monitor. It was done under Perfmon properties->General->Graph Elements, and you'd set "Sample every" to 0.5 seconds or so.

On Win7 this no longer works and the UI only permits 1 sec minimum sample rate.

Does anyone remember this or know when this changed? Is there any way to get a faster sample rate?

I don't believe it has been possible to specify an update interval less than 1 second since NT 4. I know it doesn't work in Windows 2000 or XP. I am not aware of any way of changing this.
