Hello everyone, sorry for the confusing title but I want to ask a question

Yesterday I was carrying out a clean installation which is re-installation windows 7 but when I was at the stage of 1- collect information "Installing Windows", a member of family from downstairs slams the back door kitchen hard which caused vibrations underneath my laminate flooring where it can be felt since my bedroom is below the kitchen. The laptop was placed in a table at that time. I am concerned if it can have an impact on the laptop components or causes problems in windows 7 such as corrupt file systems from HDD due to vibrations via the kitchen door.

This is the stage where I was when carrying out clean installation:http://www.techtalkz.com/gallery/files/1/Windows7-2008-11-04-14-55-38.jpg

Hi James,

Did the installation went well? are you able to use your OS ?

Vibrations cannot affect laptop hardware. Big Electro magnets can be dangerous though.

Vibration can affect a hard drive in the laptop, unless it's a SSD. Unlikely in the scenario you described though.
