Phishing attack? Malware?

Started Slipstream project by downloading RT 7 Lite Beta 64 Bit from Softpedia. Installed OK. On launch, a large text window opened demanding that I call a 1-800 number as my computer was "blocked". Could not close the window. Shut down. Restarted OK. Ran Bitdefender scan and Malwarebytes scan, nothing found. Curious if anyone else has experienced this and what else you think I should do to ensure I'm safe.

Welcome to the forum. I am not clear what it is you have got but it may well be it's a pirate copy using a known bad key blocked by ms I assume you haven't bought a licence for this?
