Pin a network mapped shorcut..

alvoryx - 1st like to say welcome to forum. This script or code is very cool. I have a question however. I am trying to use it for a network folder I use all the time

EX - Z:\N FOLDER\BUILDERS
Will it or should it work like so - Z:\N FOLDER\
BUILDERS.exe

or is it only good for launching actual programs, as you can see my expertise is minimal at best. Thanks and rep

One word of caution, not for quick launch, but when people create a custom new taksbar.

Deleting a folder or file within the folder you linked to the bar will actually delete it for real.
So if you link it to a music folder with subfolders containing mp3's, deleting one of the subfolders on the bar, will delete the folder.
And when it's a network folder, there is no undo.

The only way to get rid of a custom bar is to uncheck it.

Hope this will save some future grief.

I keep coming back to - use the OS within the design parameters of the OS.

Hmm... Use the Start Menu.

It is wholly appropriate that the OP referenced \foo\bar.
