pin this folder to taskbar

Hi need help trying to pin this folder to taskbar have read the tutorials but cant work out how to do it.

You could pin the folder as a toolbar instead. The same method in this tutorial for Quick Launch can be used for this. Just navigate to your folder location instead in step 2.

The only other option that I know of would be to pin the folder to the Start Menu instead.

lol - I tried to foll the system and created a batch file and it would not let me pin it to the start menu - I then created a shortcut to the batch file and it still would not let me pin it to the start menu - I finally renamed the batch file to a .CMD (CMD applet) file - and it *still* would not let me pin it.....

You can pin c: to taskbar and itl appear as a dropdown menu.



Right click on the taskbar and to go toolbars
select new toolar
a box will appear asking for a location, just select c: and Windows will pin it to the taskbar.

Here is a easier and better way

(example I want to pin my D:\ folder)

1. Create a shortcut on the desktop (Right Click > New > Shortcut)
2. For the location of the shortcut put explorer "D:\" (explorer before the location is important)
3. Click Next
4. Name the folder what ever you want
5. Click Finish
6. Pin to task bar
