playing audio files from the net using ie 10

I have two machines both quad core amd and win 7 pro using IE 10. I play adventures in odyssey audio files for my son off the net. One machine works fine, the other always asks me if I want to run or save the mp3 file. The other auto runs the file as an HTML. When I click on the program adv in Odyssey, the one machine runs it fine. I have to click on the newest file/daily audio program. If I right click on the file before playing it (it's a hypertext file) is shows HTML format. The machine that forces me to download the file shows an MP3 format. Both computers go to the same web address. How can I change the machine that forces me to download the mp3 file so that it reads its and autoruns it as an HTML file? What cause the 2nd machine to read this file as an mp3?

Edit, I mistook I.E.10 for Windows 10.

Compare the two computers. There is obviously differences in the two PC's, such as browser or browser add ons, media players, etc.

Please provide a link to one of the mp3 files that does not play for you via the problematic computer.

I found where I could sample adventures in odyssey audio files on family.christianbook.com. That website told me that I needed Adobe's Flash player (which I don't use with IE - it is too dangerous).

html file changed to mp3 on second machine

For firebird, one machine has a Gigibite Amd quadcore processor and the other one has an Asus Amd quadcore processor. The Asus machine is the one giving me trouble.

When I go to the same website and do a properties on the play button of the file it looks like this on the computer that asks me to save or run it. (The Asus machine)

I think that I must have something set wrong somewhere to cause the Asus machine to identify the hyper text as an MP3 file , while the Gibibite machine identifies it as an html file.

OK you people with all the computer smarts, I'd love to hear from you. I'll admit that I've messed up some setting somewhere. It all started with me getting the "the program has caused IE to stop working" error, no matter what internet program that I tried to run on the web. After shutting off some services through MSconfig, it all worked properly again--for a time. Currently, everything on the web works except this one site --http://www.oneplace.com . It always asks me to save or run it as an mp3 file.

Thanks for all of the help. The reset did the trick. The Odyssey file comes in as an html file and plays fine.
