hello friends. title says it all. I play wow, and recently ive been getting bsods. my nvidia driver will perform a TDR but will not recover. the screen goes black, and computer restarts, i do not see the bluescreen, but after restart windows shows the error.
at first i didn't know what it was, after doing some research i determined it was because my card is overheating. normally, while not gaming, card sits at a comfy 50c. while gaming, it shot up to 90c, was even at 100c at one point. i immediately shutdown the computer. on a whim i took the card out, cleaned the heatsink and the gpu and reapplied thermal compound, and it seemed to do the trick. that was 2 days ago, and just again i got the 116.
Ive swept all drivers and reinstalled latest nvidia drivers, air dusted it,, idk, theres not too much more to do. i own a EVGA nvidia gt 630. cheap card i know. which could be the problem.
couple questions; fan on the card is missing a blade, dont know when why or how it happened. i just caught my eye when i replaced the compound. Fan makes a pretty good buzz, and it can sound like grinding at times, almost as if the bearing in the fan wasn't oiled or something pre assembly.
Will evga replace fan/heatsink? what else can i try and do to alleviate the issue? im posting the
dump analysis below. if any more info is need please let me know.
