Please Help I Can't Hardly Read Text & Webpages Online Bad Eyesight!

Product Name: G42 Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a G42 Notebook laptop that does not have the best screen i can hardly make out what's on a webpage.

I increased the screen size to 125% & that helped & the briteness was lowered a bit, but I still have trouble seeing websites.

I tried changing the fonts in control panel to Arial Bold font but the install button is not on & working.

How do i fix this & install the font.

Hi highbids, welcome to Seven Forums.

You can set the zoom size in most browsers & in Opera you can set the print size.

As you are using IE 9, open it & on the RH upper corner you should see what looks like a little gearwheel, click on that & there should be a setting for zoom size, select the one that suits you best. You can also change a lot of IE settings by opening Control Panel, then Internet Options & on the General Tab there are a lot of settings you can change under Appearance down near the bottom.

You could try using a high contrast setting for Windows. To do that open Control Panel, select Ease of Access Centre & when that opens you should see Quick access to common tools & there it shows Set Up High Contrast.

I don't think you can change the main Windows system font size.

Hi:

In addition to the excellent advice above, from your hardware specs, it looks as if you may be somewhat limited in what you can get from your display.

If you use Firefox, there is an extension called NoSquint Plus that you might find helpful.

Hi

You can use wide screen TV as your external monitor.

Laptop do have an options to extend or use another big size TV / monitor.

Connectors is no problem, as HDMI, VGA, etc; also available for TV / monitor.

Go for a 20+ inches LED TV cum monitor, as LCD is not good for eye-sight.

Eric.
