portable dvd rw changed to udf

hi guys i bought a USB dvd RW for my laptop and installed it windows 7 not a problem went to format the disk and not its saying on all disks including blanks that they are full 7.8gb and when i open it on explorer it says there is no files but on iso buster it shows files on my computer it says UDF im unsure what ive done and was wondering if someone can help me please change it back to original thank you

Why did you format the DVD? UDF is the typical format for discs, but beware that using "packet writing" RW disc to read and write like a hard drive or floppy drive is dangerous. RW discs are known to lose format and/or data and thus that method is not recommended. Given the relatively low cost of a disc, its best to use non-RW types and just "burn" data to the disc with CD/DVD burning program such as Nero, or one of the free and popular burning programs, Imgburn or CDBurnerXP.

because it was an old dvd disk that needed but its failed to format it and now all my dvd disks are coming up as full udf disks and when open explorer there's no files and when ever i try change to change format it stays as udf
