Prime 95 and troubleshooting questions

So, I've been playing some Payday 2 on steam with a friend when a problem occurred. We played for about 2 hours when it happened. My screen froze, the audio stuttered, and there was absolutely nothing I could do except for turning off the system via power button. I've just run FurMark in 1080p for 1 hour and 30 mins, but the highest temp was 80c. I didn't get any artifacts, glitches, anything. So I'm in a bit of a head scratch at this point.
Done memtest several times ( 8 passes each)
I've also just Prime 95 on blend mode for about 10 mins but I stopped due to the heat getting quite high ( i assume it's too high ). I will include a picture to this thread of my temps while running prime. Any help with this persistent problem would be very appreciated!

specs: sager np9150 laptop

- Nvidia 680m
- Intel core i7 3630qm

P.S. I updated my graphics driver to 332.21 WHQL off of Nvidia's website. Haven't tested gameplay since though..

Laptops run hot, try turning down the settings. Also try to take some breaks while gaming.

Yeah, unless you seat your laptop on some dry ice, I say gaming for 2 hours straight will yield some harsh temperatures on any laptop.

I dont have high temps when gaming though. never over 70c tops on my gpu. and the cpu stays in the mid 60c range except for when I ran Prime95. I just want to know why my games would freeze the screen completely while audio stuttering.

Sometimes corrupt drivers will cause this... when was the last time you updated your audio and video drivers?

video drivers, 2 days ago. audio drivers, probably about 5 months or so

If you don't mind my asking, how exactly did you update your drivers? many people do this wrong, hence, why I ask... on the other side, it wouldn't be a bad idea to update your audio drivers as well.

I just used the latest driver off nvidia.com with the nvidia installer. I did a clean install option.
