Problem importing chrome boomarks into IE 11

How do I Import Chrome Bookmarks into Internet Explorer 11?
I am trying to import my chrome bookmarks into internet explorer. I have lots of bookmarks on my android tablet I would like to browse on my PC

I have Chrome installed on my PC to view them there but much prefer Internet Explorer

I have tried to export them as a file from chrome
Also tried to import them as a file into internet Explorer
Says ok But they don't seem to be there.

Hey jo69,

I am amazed that you want to use IE over Chrome to browse your favorites.

However, you can import all bookmarks from Chrome to IE 11.
Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Bookmarks.
Select Bookmark manager.
Click the Organize menu in the manager.
Select Export bookmarks.
Chrome will export your bookmarks as a HTML file, which you can then import into Internet Explorer 11.,

Tried that but it just says unable to import successfully

When you are selecting the options "What to import" in IE. Just select favorites. Do not select any other option, feeds etc. Import the html file that you made from chrome into IE.

Tried all suggestions Just wont let me import from chrome to internet explorer
saves the file but IE wont recognise it

Is there any other way I can try?

You can always roll back to ie10 and see if it has issues with the file type ?

Which by the way ie10 is more stable at this point and time.
As long as the file type is HTML it should work.

Hey thanks Thrash that worked!!!!
So now I also know how to uninstall a version of IE too lol Is 11 no good?

Next question is, now I have them in IE can I sort them out and remove them from the bookmarks bar it imported to combine in my favorites?

Also my only problem now is IE 10 shows a blank page saying theres a problem each time I open it Untill I keep clicking on a favourite

In Internet explorer the Bookmarks bar is actually the Favorites bar,
But please post a screen shot so we can see exactly what your referring to,
But yes ie11 is a bit buggy at this time and date ie10 is much easier to deal with if an issue appears,

I would go ahead and Reset Internet explorer 10 I believe a link to reset has been posted already but here it is again with a bit of a tweak in the process,

What I was enquiring about was I now have a Folder in my IE Favorites called Bookmarks (with all the Chrome FBookmarks
Which is what I wanted
I would like to merge some of them with folders I already have in IE Will it mess my pc up?

I would personally leave them separate I believe this is the view you now have,

it looks very neat lol But mine are a bit messy I seem to have 100s
Cant send you a screenshot as when I click on snipping tool I lose the opened window

I have folders both in IE favorites and now Bookmarks that are related to the same things

I only keep chrome to organise my android tablet bookmarks

I think I know what your seeing,
Inside my bookmarks folder are allot of other folders=like when you give a bookmark in chrome a different name than the url link shows which is normal or it did the same thing to me/ not sure why but I live with it
Yes the snipping tool is impossible to use on popup boxes like this,
I use keyboard shortcuts to take screen shots like this,
On my machine holding down the Shift key and pressing the PrtScen key takes a screen shot,
But I have to open Microsoft Paint and click on the Paste button so the screen shot appears from the windows clipboard,
Then I can rectangle select a portion of the image and crop it then save as jpeg and name it. upload it where ever I need to,
Keyboard shortcuts can vary,
On a laptop with the FN key you would hold it down and use a similar key PrtScen which this one might be slightly different,
But opening Paint would still be required to paste in to see the file.
Paint is located the same place as the snipping tool/ Start/ All programs/ Accessories folder.

Got another problem now though lol
When imported into ie10 my chrome bookmarks were just all on one folder called bookmarks.
I have the links toolbar enabled in IE. With just a few links in it for mail etc
But today I noticed all the chrome bookmarks are in it also! As well as still being in the bookmarks folder in IE favorites

That is weird must of been a prior import showing up ?
Not much I can suggest beside deleting them from I'm guessing the Favorites bar ?
