Problem installing GTA IV on windows 7...PLEASE HELP

Ok guys i have a problem installing a game so if anybody can help me it would be great!

I was googling a lot and i have find out that i need to change compatability to windows XP service pack 3.I did that and i have installed a game , rockstar social club stuff and games for windows live program.After that i did all that i've tried to start a game on every single way and nothing happens.I've tried to change comp. mode to XP SP 2 , XP SP 3 , windows vista but still nothing happens.

I have C++ 2005 installed , too.

Please somebody help me ...i really want to play this game....

Sorry I cannot figure out how to help you.
even hard to help you if you did not complete your hardware specs.

I am just posting to report you GTA4 x86 is working fine on my W7 Ultimate x64 (tried only single mode) - I am using patch 1.0.0.2- no need for compat mode or any particular setup. check if your video drivers are updated.
