problem with clean-installing w7 on a pre-installed w10

Hi there,

I really need to downgrade my laptop from w10 (pre-installed) to w7 home premium but always faced with:

WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next".
3, Click "Repair your computer".

If you do not have this disc, contact your system admin or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Oh, almost 4got, I made a win7 usb installation media using RUFUS and selected GPT instead of MBR. I also disabled SAFE BOOT in UEFI SETTINGS (BIOS).

Hi zeamann,

Looking at this thread from post #77 onwards might help = > Update your Win 7 installation media. Note the use of the Alt-E cheat mode option for enabling Rufus to create dual boot. Also look at post #80 inside the Red box.

Thank you so much guys for willingness to assist but I've installed win8.1 instead as Indidnt got time to go over everything before my kids came back from school and this laptop is their only video player. Thanks so much again and God bless,
