Solved Problems reinstalling Win 7 Starter on netbook

Seems like a Win8 error.

Normally only a driver is needed for Fkey functions, unless there is backlighting that has adjustables in a Software package. Were the driver and software for Easy Display separate?

Is there a chance Easy Settings cover a bunch of things that only really need a driver?

It all came in a single zip file. Not sure how to tell if there is a separate driver. Zip file contains: _setup.dll, data1.cab, data1.hdr, data2.cab, ISSetup.dll, layout.bin, setup.exe, setup.ini, setup.inx, setup.iss, setup.txt, SWDesc.txt.

Were the functions missing until you installed the software? Did you happen to notice if Windows Update delivered a driver that provided these functions, or you maybe imported one from Samsung Downloads even before importing the Software package?

I don't think the software will cause you any problems, but only want to know how it can be avoided if a driver or drivers alone will provide the functionality needed. Is it F key and backlighting in this case?
