Problems with texture in some games

What kind of textures problems do you have, like they completely disappear or something?

1. Do you see that in every game you play? Any game patches you haven't installed yet?
2. Set AA filter 'Box'
3. Try a different Catalyst version (if available for your laptop)

(Use driver sweeper between the reinstalls Guru3D - Driver Sweeper)

No, don't see it in every game, just some. Check the first post of this thread for how it looks like. Have tried several versions of Catalyst. No good.... Trying to get Xtreme G drivers now, see how that works.

You say it happens in other games too, but exactly what's wrong in the picture ?? What's "wrong with the world" ?

I'm having trouble playing some games. Everything looks fine, the menu's are ok, but once i start playing, the environment of the game doesn't show up, somehow. here is a picture of how it looks. (It is made in Sniper: Ghost Warrior, but this it not the only game doing it.)

How Sniper: Ghost Warrior looks on my laptop...

As you can see, the UI is fine, just the world you should be walking around in, isn't right. I have already tried several things, like updating my GPU drivers, downgrading my ingame graphics, etc. I have a ATI Radeon HD 4570 512MB GPU, which should be doing fine running it, Any idea's on how to solve this?

Like in any game, when you walk through a texture it gets scaled and looks funny that way?

well, it should be an open area where i should be able to walk around in. and to look around in. I'll try to make a picture of spore, which has the same problem, but not this extreme. Then u can see what i mean.

Ok, another picture would be good BUT please don't bother if you are busy, I'm just curious. :) Could this actually be an ATI architecture issue, did you ask NVIDIA players if they had the same?

So blame the game, not the cards.

Can you see if you have this issue with a Linux Live CD, like Ubuntu or Linux Mint. I know there are ports of Quake I, II & III out there, and other 3D games. I'll try and fine some...

edit:
If you do try Linux, you'll have to install the drivers for your card obviously. In Linux Mint, under Administration menu there's "Hardware Drivers". From there you can Activate the driver. Then just do CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE .. this will restart the Desktop Manager/Windows Manager with the new drivers.

For "Linux 3D Games", just Google that and pick some :)
