Solved Q: "Date created" Search filter?

In Explorer, is there any way to do a search for files CREATED on a specific date or within a range of dates? I've found the search filter using "Date modified" but not "Data created".

The old XP "Search companion" did it, but that's no longer available in Windows 7, as far as I know.

Try typing DATE CREATED: in the Explorer search box.You should be able to select the date (or a range of dates) from a mini-calendar that appears.

Without the quotes type: "datecreated:‎" mini calendar! Woooo :O

D'oh, thank you - I must have missed that in the Help. Certainly my Windows 7 reference book did not mention it.

To save me guessing, can someone let me know what other keywords can be used?

And, it's a bit of a primitive command line interface, isn't it? What happened to GUIs? Or do most people just search on (partial) filenames?
