Question about parity RAM modules

Hi everyone, I just have one simple question about this type of memory RAM modules, is it posible to pair together 2 modules of RAM , same brand and speed one with parity capabilties and the other one without? this while parity checking being enabled on the motherboard thanks for your replies in advance

To the best of my knowledge they must both be parity or non parity. Ram is very tempermental, does not like mix and match.

Thanks a lot =D! I guess it then shouldn't be an issue if parity checking is not enabled on the motherboard

I am not a ram expert, but I do know from helping many at this Form, ram should be bought at one time and identical in every respect.

In the times I have built systems, mostly older systems and also having to deal with other systems, you generally do not want to mix types of ram.

In the past, I have seen as well as heard you just introduce a really random variable into your system, as the system is trying to access ram a certain way. When you add complexity, you just introduce more chances of error into a system.

As much as I understand the desire to save money, you just create more headaches when you skimp on certain things, in this case, trying to use different ram types and hoping they will work. It will work to a point, but only if you hope not to really stress it.
