I want to ask people opinion on gen2 intel processor, are they still good in 2018 for you or will you buy a new laptop? I recently just upgrade my laptop cpu processor from i3-2330m(Dec 2017) to i5-2430m then recently from i5-2430m to i7-2670qm. I wondering how long I should stick with this laptop. I just do code (On VM with ubuntu, windows server 2008 ASP.net, php, js, android ionic) and sometimes play age of empires 3 and some old games like CS 1.6 and LFD 2.
I hate many manufacture create laptop without swap able battery, that's why for now I still stick with ASUS a43sv with this old gen2 intel for now. But recently I see web become so heavy even site like m{@}sh{@}ble.com need to be on high performance mode so I could read or navigating inside their page.

I welcome any opinion. Thanks. (I consider buying new one but not in this year, maybe after I graduate)

A mobile computer has the advantage that you can take it with you and pack it away again. Your biggest limitation appears to be your Internet speed that you are getting from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Changing computer wont affect the service you receive from the ISP. I'd keep the computer and maybe look into changing the Internet service, if I were to make any change at all.
