Hey guys, I'm building up this prebundled rig from Newegg:
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!
The case is a Raidmax Super Viper
In sorting out all the chassis cables, there are 2 USB cables coming from the front panel: One is a USB 2.0 cable with typical 9 pin connector, I have found the appropriate spot on the motherboard (a
MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS), the other USB cable is 3.0, and it terminates in a 20 pin connector like this:
I'm trying to figure out what the heck to do with it. There's no obvious plug in spot on the mobo, the mobo does have a typical USB 3.0 port on the rear of the PC, but I would like to have that feature for the front USB slots. Is there a pass-through type connector I can use (I guess if would be a 20 pin-to-USB slot converter) that I have to put through the back of the pc and into that back 3.0 slot? Also if there isn't a workaround is the 2.0 cable that the chassis came with used as an alternate?
