Hi all,

A couple of days ago my laptop started randomly BSODing every so often, sometimes as close as 5 minutes apart, but sometimes it stays on for a few hours.

This happens while playing games, browsing websites or even when just leaving the computer alone, I really can't see a pattern.

I've tried a few different things to resolve the issue myself:
- updating drivers to the most recent version. When upgrading the iastor.sys driver with the latest version, they error message changes slightly, but BSOD remains and frequency seems to increase
- run anti-rootkit scanner (TDSSkiller) -> negative
- chkdsk, sfc scannow, system test that comes with alienware prior to booting into windows, they all run without issues

Finally, I've reset the laptop to the factory image from the restore partition. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the issue and I'm out of ideas.

I hope someone can help shed some light on the issue or give me some idea on what to try next to resolve the issue, I would be most grateful.

SFC package attached with most recent eight dumps between wiping the drive and posting here.

Turn off RAID in BIOS. Get rid of intel rapid storage.

  1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
  2. It will open the "computer management" window.
  3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
  4. Expand "Disc Drives" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
  5. Select one item under it, right click, uninstall.
  6. Continue the process for all items under "Disc Drives"
  7. Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate system driver, msahci.sys.
Let us know the results.

Yesterday I've done the steps you described and so far I've been BSOD free. Thanks!

For now, I have left the cache disk disabled. Once I am convinced my computer is running stable I'll re-enable it and see what happens.

Thank you for your assistance!
