Hi,

For the pasts couple of months I'm experiencing BSOD's. I tried finding the cause with bluescreenview and whocrashed. but it seems to be something different every time. I reinstalled the video and LAN driver but nothing helped. I also ran Windows Memory check without errors. Currently Memtest86 is running, once that's finished I'll run the DM Log Collector.

PC is a Acer Veriton x270 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. BSOD's happen at random times, even without the hardware is stressed (i.e. with games). Once it even happened in Safe Mode + Networking.

DM Log collector stuff is attached. Any clue? Thanks!

Hi Bertus.

Yes, as you are experiencing versatile bugchecks, you need to test the RAM. But memtest86 is an inferior tool to test the RAM, and not always trustworthy. Test your RAM modules for possible errors with memtest86+. Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers. Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Thanks for looking into the BSOD's. Unfortunately, memtest86+ was error-free after 8 passes and since DV is running (about 24 hours now) I didn't get any BSOD's.

Thats odd. DV should have crashed the computer for at least once.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.Take a screenshot of the furmark window before closing it. Upload the screenshot for us.

Stress test the CPU.It saves the result as a .txt file in the prime95's folder. Upload the file for us.
