Please uninstall Zone Alarm (it contributes in BSOD's) with Revo Uninstaller's free version using Advanced Mode and delete left over registry of the software. Spybot is not the best security software, I've seen it corrupt Windows.

Perform a System File Check to check the integrity of all protected Windows 7:

• Click Start Menu
• Click All Programs
• Click Accessories
• Right click Command Prompt
• Click Run as administrator
• Type

• sfc /scannow

• and press Enter

Question on Gigabyte ET6 - that'll be mobo related - do you know what it is?

Not exactly but its something like "Gigabyte Easy Tune 6" that causes BSOD's?

I'll take it out and see what happens. Got a recommendation to replace ZA? not my favoured firewall, but was previously using Comodo which gave me issues, and not wanting to leave it to Windows Firewall...

I do not use a firewall, just Microsoft security essentials and malware bytes. So not the best person to ask.

Righto, all advice followed...specified programs uninstalled, startup cleaned up, system file check came up clean, so I'll run with this and see what happens. Thank you for the help
