Hey everyone,
I've experienced 2 BSOD's today both, if I am correct, caused by atikmdag.exe or something like that.
Last year I experienced the same errors a couple of times, first I thought it was my AMD driver so I reinstalled that (cleaned out all the AMD / ATI files by hand, also cleaned my register.) The problem was gone for a while after that, yesterday I decided to update my graphics drivers and since then I experience the BSOD's again.
I've also had a feeling it had something to do with MSI Afterburner because most of the times I did experience a lockup (these weren't BSOD's, just lockups) it was when I launched MSI Afterburner, which makes me think it might be my hardware (GPUs, or perhaps PSU?), but then again 30 minutes ago I was watching a video on my PC and my PC locked up aswell.
(By lockup I mean my screen is frozen and there's like a minigun sound on loop)
My specs:
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V PRO Gen3
CPU: Intel i5 - 2500k @ stock speeds
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz Dual Channel
GPU: 2x Sapphire r9 290 - crossfire
Storage: 3 SSD's, 3 HDD's
PSU: Corsair CM750 (cutting it close I know)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
AMD Driver: 14.12 (Omega)
(MSI Afterburner: 4.1.0)
DM Log Collector attachment
I don't think this has anything to do with it but I'm no expert so I'll just add this,
lately my PC also sits on the Motherboard / bios splash screen for a really long time.
My PC used to boot up in about 20 to 30 seconds, (Windows is installed on my OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD)
but now it takes maybe 4/5 times as long.
If I need to post any other information let me know.
Thanks in advance
