Remote not working after sleep wake up

I am using Win 7 Professional x64 for my HTPC. Initially, i wasn't able to wake my PC from sleep (S3) using my IR remote (shows up as ehome transciever on device manager). I fixed that using a jumper setting on my Biostar TH55XE motherboard to change the USB power to 5VSB instead of just 5V. Now I can wake it up using the power button on the remote, but after it wakes up the remote buttons do not work. If I unplug the IR receiver from the USB port and plug it back in, it starts working. It also works fine after a reboot. It's funny that I can wake it up using the remote, but then it stops working. Can anyone please help?

Sounds like it is not waking the device correctly. Try updating drivers.

Sleep itself is buggy, so there is a chance this is not fixable.
