Is there a way to remove hidden updates, permanently?

I have about 50 stupid language packs that have been sitting there since time began. Then I updated to SP1 and now they're back, unhidden. I have to re-hide them all again.

Anyway to permanently killfile this stuff once & for all? :(

Thanks

I have to re-hide them all again.

Which simply requires selecting the first one, scrolling to the bottom and shift-select the last one, then right-click and choose Hide Update.

Takes maybe 5 seconds?

Yeah, but that still doesn't permanently get rid of them though...

Stupid language packs, be gone!

You, of course know that those updates have not yet been downloaded, right.:)
You hide them, and thereby hide the ability to download them.
So, you have to hide them every time a service pack comes out, shouldn't be a big deal.:)

Well, they won't show up again until SP2 so I wouldn't get too excited about it...:)

So there's nothing that can be done? No?

Because I consider it nothing more than crapware waiting to be loaded. You've already picked the language pack you wanted to use, so it shouldn't be a matter of; "Gee, I changed my mind. I want Polish or Swiss on my OS instead"

This kind of issue should be done & over with. Not left on standby in perpetuity.

Hey, nothing wrong with venting. And please be more polite next time.

Anyway, I'm done.
