Hi when I click on start the window shows all recently used apps with large icons. The problem is I want it to stop adding them. It's ok if I add them. But I have to remove each one inorder to get to one I want.

Right click the ones you want and "Pin to Start Menu".
You can also right click Start Menu icon and properties - customize - Number of recent programs to display: set to 0 (if you don't want any), doesn't affect the pinned ones
