That are immune from the sc delete command?

Mainly, the "Apple Mobile Device Service" located at
Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe

It did not delete when I removed iTunes, and it's existence is preventing me from re-installing iTunes.

I used Revo Uninstaller to remove iTunes, but I still have iCloud installed, that is working. Do I need to remove all Apple programs? I need a specific version of iTunes (12.6.3) and it will not install even after removing the corrupted iTunes.

Kind of stumped, I need to delete the old service so the installer can re-install it. It won't start, it depends on TCP/IP Protocol Driver, and I tried various ways of reinstalling that, but it does not appear to be a standard Windows service. All I have is TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper.

TIA, and I've missed being in here :(

(Edit -Looks like I have to remove several system components manually, that did not get deleted when the program was removed - Trying that)

I finally have an Intel machine that has more than 8GB of Ram.
My ASUS M2N-SE AMD Windows 7 machine is back to Windows 7. Replaced the AMD 4400+ CPU and maxed out the RAM (4GB).
My Core Duo machine is only 2GB of Ram and it is locked to Windows XP in order to run Pro Tools 6.4, which I have been using since 2004.
I have one other Dell OptiPlex 980 tower, Identical to this one,
Ding - I got one error message "The specified Account already exists" - I suppose that was because I did not log out before removing?

Fortunately, removing all of the remaining services and support apps did it, and I was able to re-install.

This is all damage control after being hit with the Adame virus, it destroyed one of my systems completely, and it seeped in to my other systems via my Apple Time capsule. Fortunately one system was saved by using System Restore, but I lost almost 10 TB of Music and Video data, mostly my Pro Tools sessions. :(

I will make another post about that.

Nothing is immune to the SC DELETE command (provided you run it as administrator), not even Windows built-in services. Make sure you typed the correct service name, which must be the internal name, not the display name shown in the services control panel applet.

Of course, removing the service doesn't removes the files for the program implementing the service. You must delete those yourself too.

You mention being hit by a virus, have you reformated all the affected system after that? System restore, as well as Time Capsule or even reimaging a system, aren't reliable ways to revert the damage.

Any chance of success by using a quality data recovery utility's deep scan?
