"Repair your computer" option using F8 key is missing

my machine is bootable and WIN7 starts without any problems.
My Problem is I'd like create "System Reserved" to boot from this partition using F8 key and "Repair your computer" instead of booting from the CD boot disk.

I've already tried to boot with a Windows Repair CD, I've done "Startup Repair", but "System Reserved" won't be created.

I can create this partition manually, but how to configure WIN7 to boot from this partition using F8 key?

Having System Recovery Options on F8 Advanced Boot Options is not dependent upon having the System Reserved partition, as it's file is actually on C. You can try to rewrite it's link to F8 by running Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times after making sure C is the Active partition: Partition - Mark as Active. This is why we use Startup Repair x3 instead of only bootrec commands since it includes rewriting the F8 WinRE link.

You'd need to create System Reserved during the install, by deleting all partitions using the Drive Options in Steps 7 and 8 of Clean Install Windows 7.

To create it now is a PITA, but can be done. There is absolutely no reason to do this other than as an experiment to see if WinRE link can be restored to F8 when other methods fail:

Back up a System Image of C first. Your files should always be backed up externallly anyway.

Shrink C from the left by 200mb using Partition Wizard boot disk: Partition Wizard Resize Partition Video Help.

Create a Primary partition there using Partition Wizard Create Partition Video Help,

Mark Partition Active, Label it System Reserved.

Then boot into the Win7 installer or System Repair Disk to run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times

If it doesn't move the System boot files as signified by the System flag to the new System Reserved partition, then unhide System Files in Control Panel>Folder Options>View and drag them there from C manually, run the 3 Startup Repairs again.

To revert because this fails as it can you'd again Mark C Partition Active then if it won't start run Startup Repairs until it starts.
