right click fails, sfc/scannow fixes, happening once a day

Howdy. For years my right click would fail occasionally and restarting explorer.exe would fix it. (mouse tested all good) For the last 5 days the right click has been failing at least once every 24 hrs and I need to run sfc /scannow to fix it. the actual repair happens in the first 20% of the scans progress. Anyone have an idea what I could do to fix this?

A few questions

1) What is your exact mouse make and model?
2) Have you tried a different mouse on your computer and does it also fail with right-click?
3) Have you tried a different mouse driver?
