Second love

Hi,

Well it happened, I knew it would. This weekend my wife came up to me and said 'Its me or that thing!'.

The thing of course is the new computer that I brought recently. Windows 7 64bit, sleak black body and quad core processing with a little cheeky GPU to boot. Well unknown to me, apparently I have spent a little too much time with my new toy and my wife is feeling jealous.

Well, of course I made all the right noises and suggested that it was all part of the setup process, you know get to know your new hardware. Personally I think the last straw was it moving into the bedroom (PS: Only place we can have a computer right now!).

So there you have it, it looks like me and my new pc will be having illicit meetings, snatched moments of shared colour bursts.

Of course I love my wife dearly, and think the tiredness of our baby daughter has finally driven her to this madness. Neither is I a game head or do I spend all my time in front of the screen. But simply a man who loves his tech.

Do you have this problem?

I used to have this problem. However, after working in IT for quite a number of years...most nights I rather just read these forums and answer questions rather than actually turning on my home PC and using it. I've only had my main machine on 2 times in the past 2 months. Now, that is sad.

My wife calls my new custom built PC "My Girlfriend". She says that I spend more time, I'm quoting here, " fingering my new girlfriend than her". At least my wife is open minded and understanding of a man and his techno needs....I guess I can have my cake and eat too......

I don't think I'm going to look for a fourth ex-wife or not, I can't seem to find any of them that aren't more trouble than they're worth to start off with. :shock:
