Even new ones, clean installs. I have had a good number of users complaining that the machine is hanging no the logging screen, and i'm currently experiencing a machine that's hanging on 98% of installing updates.

What's going on out there ? Which update is causing all this mayhem ?

If you let Windows updates to be in Auto (Recommended) then there is no issue.

Most, if not all, Windows updates have to follow according to sequential order.

If the 1 update failed, then you have to check if there are previous update downloaded to install first before install the latest updates.
This is provided if your windows updates is set on option 1: Automatically (Recommended).

If manual updates, then this is where the problem come about.

Manual updates are suitable for those who are familiar with Windows system.

As most user like to do manual updates, then this will happen and then seek help from others.

For me, i had no problem, as only 1 recently.

When it prompt failed and stated to updates others updates before update the latest.
Then in windows updates, there are some updates not done yet.
Then i did the updates for the previous updates.
Finally update the latest and installed successfully.

This is the user choice who would think that they know which updates is necessary or not.
