Server - How do I create?

I'm currently working on a website using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 which will be published in a couple of weeks.

I've created other sites and published them but using a mates server, how do I go about setting up my own server? And do i need to get Windows Server 2008 in order to do this, can i not do it in Windows 7?

Any help would be great

P.S i've searched the web & they all point to 3rd party software

Yeah you can use IIS7.5 that come with Windows 7
