Has anyone been able to install skype? There's a post on thegreenbutton saying that mcephone (skype plugin for mediacenter) works, but I've been unable to install skype itself.
"This program has known compatibility issues."
Tried compatatibility mode and received all kinds of errors.

I also tried the most recent beta with the same errors.

i had similar problems, I installed skype...box came up saying compatability issue...check for solution....the solution was to download exactly the same file...round and round...

I eventally downloaded the correct beta 4.0.0.181 directly from the skype site, and all seems good (but I don't use audio/video)

ah...I'm using the x64 version of win7

Yeah, that beta wouldn't install on the two computers I upgraded from vista. My main pc has a clean install and it installed w/o a hitch. I got the mcephone skype plugin for media center to work as well, but mc and skype need to be run as admin.
