

End the process in task manager.
Right Click Taskbar > Task Manager
Go to Processes Tab
Find anything to do with skype, end the processes.
I would go into Control Panel click on Program and Features and uninstall Skype from there.I am a dsabled person not technical task manager did not work
I attempt to open skype again. I have only one skype version installed then I could not open or quit I clicked desktop skype icon it satarted to spin a circle in the middle of the desktop skype and would not open or quit then I checked run compadibility mode in skype it said can not open skype you are already signed in on this computer please sign out and try again am already signed out and it created two skypes one online an one is signed out is their a fix ?

I type in skype.com and I downloaded the program from its online site.it took my old skype settings after the download take me step by step for the skype fix

Uninstall skype from add/remove control panel > go to start icon > type regedit> you will get an icon named regedit > click it > that will open your registery > click the arrow next to HKEY_current user >software > skype ..delete it > HKEY_local machine >click arrow >software >skype.. delete it > close registery.. go to your program files >delete skype folder > go to program data >Delete skype folder > restart and install a fresh skype .. good luck and please let us know how you got on ..you very welcome to send me Private email if I can help more .mitchell65 I am a disabled person and not a good typer When I uninstalled Skype, I used the Add/Remove option in Control panel I did not go into the registry to check that no legacy settings were left behind?
