software updates, other than windows 7

I loaded a cd and I caqn not get the cd to update via the web. I get a meassage baqck to check my internet settings. Can someone guide me in the correct direction, I'm lost in windows 7. Thank you

that is a bit vague, can you be more specific? A CD can't be updated unless you are using a CD-RW.

Sorry, I loaded the software DVD Cloner 8 version 8.00. I received an emailf rom the cloners site telling me tht the software has a new version (8.50). When I go to the software and press the update button I get a message back saying tht the software can not connect to the internet, check my internet settings. Hope that is better.

Why don`t you just uninstall your current version (preferably with Revo) and download and install version 8.50

Usually an update/upgrade notice like that will provide a direct link to the needed file.
Open the program then at the top of the windows should be Help, click it and see if there,s a Check For Updates link or something similar.

Check your firewall setting to make sure the clone program has permission to access the intenet.
