So here’s a tricky one. The sound on my Windows 7 HP PC began acting up. I seem to only get sound from R channel..when they’re properly connected.
I have two brand new Bose speakers set up on my desktop, and the one on the right has four plug ports: Power / Aux/ Connect to computer / Connect to left speaker. All those are connected properly.
So if I pull the ‘Connect to computer’ cord OUT of the speaker most of the way, IE, leaving it barely in there, I get sound from both speakers. Although I’ve noticed in audio playback, some songs sound like they’re missing something. For example, the intro to the Association’s “Along Comes Mary;” it sounds to me- I swear- like a layer of the opening guitars are now missing.
It’s not the headphones, which I plug directly to the speakers. They are brand new hi-end Sonys, and work fine when plugged into a mini-DVD player.
Any ideas? TY!
