Hi all,
I am in an A+ OS class and project 2 is a broken drive.... the host is win 7, and then inside of virtual box there is a suse image and an XP i fixed everything except for what seems to be a script but i can find it..... about every 15 minutes i see a flash on the screen (something ran) and then when i restart startup repair runs, saying it fixed something, it is the only thing left.... I am not looking for an answer i am looking ideas for where to look the i go to class next time (4/2) i am going to run sfc /scannow, and i am also going to look in the group policy editor under windows in the scripts file..... any other ideas?

thanks

Having no idea how the drive is "broken", how you've "fixed" it so far, and what the end goal is here there's very little we can offer. Where are you looking to go and for what?

So an "event" occurs, completes, disappears, and you don't know what it was...

When we recieve these removable drives they have win 7 loaded as a host, and the teacher loads virtual box and puts an XP image, and a SUSE linux image in there

XP dosnt boot at all
Suse boots to a command prompt
win 7 runs startup repair when you first turn it on

As students we call this lab the "broken drive"

I have fixed all problems on all os's except...... every 15 or 30 minutes something runs in windows 7 that makes the computer run startup repair on reboot.... and i cannor find it and (unless i am not looking in the right place) whatever is running isn't showing up in the event log

Like i said in the first message.... I'm not looking for someone to give me the answer... I'm looking for ideas where to look, and what the file name of the startup repair program is...

I`m not going to tell you, but, this is a strange "Event" to view. OK that`s 2 hints given.
