Startup Repair Utility not helping me starting up my laptop

But I already used that tool... check on #12 post. Got bad sectors message but it never offered me the chance to repair those sector... anyway, I think I'm going in circles.

I already backuped up the information that I want to save. I've prepared a flash drive with W7 to re install it from scratch but I never get to the point where I can select in which partition install.

Is there any app in Hiren's to wipe out the disk so I can start from zero?

I expect there is.

I am not that familiar with it - will have a look at the site and see what tools it includes.

If Seatools won't repairr it you can try Disk Check again from the PW boot disk which sometimes will fix it enough to let the HD Diagnostic/Repair scan work.

If not then use PW, Active Kill disk or WIn7 installer Command Line to run Diskpart Clean command to see if it will install.

If this fails boot into BIOS setup to check for an EFI boot disk in BIOS Boot order, remove it and set HD first to boot, trigger installer from one-time BIOS BOot Menu key at boot. I would also reset BIOS to defaults and set SATA controller to AHCI to try install, IDE if it fails again.
